Size & Fit Guide
Measurements and guidance for our ready-to-wear, made-to-order, and bespoke pieces, for women and men, precise enough to save you a remake.
Three ways a piece is sized
| Type | How it's sized | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Ready-to-wear | Standard sizes, a fixed chart, ships as-is | The Harwan Bandhgala Jacket (men's) |
| Made-to-order | Standard sizes XS–XL, but cut individually to your confirmed size rather than pulled from stock | Dresses & designer suits |
| Made-to-measure / bespoke | No fixed chart at all, your own measurements are taken as part of the commission | Bespoke Commissions, and any made-to-order piece on request |
Shawls and stoles sit outside all three: they're woven to one standard size per style and worn draped, not fitted, so there's no chart to check against at all, see Shawls & Stoles below.
Women's, dresses & designer suits
Dresses and designer suits are cut individually to a confirmed size rather than pulled from stock, in standard sizes XS through XL. Choose your size using the measurements below, or request a fully made-to-measure commission through Bespoke Commissions.
| Size | Bust (cm) | Waist (cm) | Hip (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 81 | 63 | 89 |
| S | 86 | 68 | 94 |
| M | 91 | 73 | 99 |
| L | 97 | 79 | 105 |
| XL | 104 | 86 | 112 |
Structured pieces (the Betaab Cape Dress, both remaining suits) run true to these measurements; softer, wrap-style pieces (the Nishat Wrap Dress) are forgiving across half a size either way by design.
Men's, ready-to-wear
Our shirts, kurtas, waistcoat and the Harwan Bandhgala Jacket are our ready-to-wear menswear, cut to a standard chart and shipped as-is, no fitting appointment required. Prefer something built to your own measurements instead, a jacket, a sherwani, or another piece entirely? That's exactly what Bespoke Commissions and our trade design calls are for.
| Size | Chest (cm) | Neck (cm) | Sleeve (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 96 | 38 | 62 |
| M | 104 | 40 | 64 |
| L | 112 | 42 | 66 |
| XL | 120 | 44 | 68 |
| XXL | 128 | 46 | 70 |
How to measure yourself
For dresses & suits (women's)
- Bust: around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: around the narrowest part of the torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hip: around the fullest part of the hips, roughly 20cm below the waist.
For the bandhgala jacket (men's)
- Chest: around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, tape held level.
- Neck: around the base of the neck, where a top shirt button would sit.
- Sleeve: from the shoulder seam to the wrist bone, arm relaxed at your side.
Between sizes, or building a fully custom piece? Start a Bespoke Commission, or book a trade design call if you're sourcing for a business, and we'll take it from there.
Shawls & stoles
Shawls and stoles are woven to one standard size per style (dimensions are listed on each product page) and worn draped or wrapped rather than fitted, so they don't carry a sized chart at all, and work equally well regardless of who's wearing them.
